Using Camello on Wix, Squarespace and other builders
On Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and most other website builders, Camello has no plugin to write with, so you make each change yourself. Camello shows you what to paste, where it goes in your builder, and then checks the live page.
How it works. On the Changes page, open a change and press Done by hand. You see the steps for your builder, each value with a Copy button and its length, and a link to your builder's editor. Make the change, publish your site, then press I've done it and give the page's address.
Camello checks it. We read the live page as a visitor would. When the change is there, it counts as applied and we measure it like any other change. If it isn't there yet, the card says so.
Where the steps come from. Each builder's own help pages, read on the date shown under the steps, with links to them. Builders move their menus from time to time. If a step doesn't match what you see, the builder's page under the steps has the current wording.
Undo. A change you made by hand is undone by hand: put the old wording back in your builder.
WordPress and Shopify don't need this. On WordPress and WooCommerce the Camello plugin writes each change for you, and on a Shopify store the Camello app does. A Shopify store still gets copy-paste text for what lives in its theme (structured data, llms.txt, robots.txt). If a developer built your site, see the custom-built article below.
What some builders can't do. Most hosted builders don't let you put your own files at the top of your site, so an llms.txt file or new robots.txt lines are often not possible. The list below says what each builder allows. When a change isn't possible on yours, the card says why, and you can dismiss it.
