Camello

Connect your Shopify store

Install Camello from Shopify, or type your store's address on Connections. Approve four permissions; each change you apply is written into your store.

In Camello, open your site and go to Connections. On the Shopify store card, type your store's address (for example your-store.myshopify.com, or just your-store) and press Connect Shopify.

Shopify shows the permissions Camello asks for: products and collections, pages and blog posts, URL redirects, and files such as images. Camello never asks to read your customers or your orders, and never changes your theme. Press Install. You come back to Connections with the store's name on the card.

If you installed Camello from Shopify instead, you approve the same permissions there and land on Camello: sign in (or create your account) and pick the site for your store. One click connects it; you never type the address.

From then on, when you click Apply on a change, Camello writes the one field it names (a search title, a description, an image's description, a redirect) into your store through Shopify's Admin API and reads it back to confirm. Drafts arrive in Blog posts as hidden; publishing one is your click in Shopify. Undo puts the old value back.

Structured data, llms.txt and robots.txt live in your theme on Shopify, so Camello gives you the text to paste and you mark the change Done by hand. Nothing is injected with JavaScript.

To disconnect, press Disconnect on the card, or uninstall Camello in your Shopify admin under Settings, then Apps. Camello deletes its access at once, and the store data it read through Shopify 48 hours after the uninstall. Questions: support@camello.ai.
